It’s more than being the girlfriend/lover/sidekick of the greatest secret service agent in the world of cinema. Being a “Bond girl” is an honor in the land of Hollywood. Over the years, the James Bond series has introduced to the world dozens of Bond girls, along with launching many careers. With Novermber 6, 2015 marking the release of the latest blockbuster in the 007 franchise, which is set to bring on four female leads, we decided to take a look at some of the previous Bond girls to see where they are now.
Eunice Gayson aka Sylvia Trench
Eunice Grayson played Sylvia Trench, the first Bond girl to appear on film with Bond, in Dr. No (1962). Her character introduced herself in the opening scene of Dr. No as “Trench. Sylvia Trench”, which Bond then mimicked with his now trademark “Bond. James Bond”. Trench was Bond’s girlfriend for the first two films and meant to be a regular but the studio scrapped the idea.
